Statement
In this mono-print I’ve fused the old and
the new. This idea of blending the old and the new is to depict the significant
amount of progress in the music world.
The imagery used to evoke this conceptual
idea is a simplistic composition of a modern DJ standing behind and handling an
old record player. It’s slightly amusing to think a modern DJ could use such
outdated equipment. The connection between the old and new and the growth of music
is subtly introduced by the subjects.
Music has inspired me and through the age
ages it has inspired many. Music has a heartbeat that will never seize just
like the progression of music will never seize. Music is the commentary of
society and society never stops evolving. Therefore Music will never stop
evolving.
